You must examine and understand exactly what causes a panic attack. In order to stop panic attack symptoms from overtaking you, a good understanding of your body’s stressors and the things that can bring your body’s stress levels considerably down is necessary and helpful. A careful self-examination is key here as nobody knows your own body and mind better than you.

A panic attack is a specific episode in which a person experiences intense anxiety and/or fear that can last for minutes or even hours. Panics attacks manifest themselves in many ways, including but not limited to: shaking, sweating, feeling that your heart is pounding uncontrollably, shortness of breath, chest pain, cramping, dizziness, nausea, hot flashes, chills, choking, and tingling or numbness in your extremities.

In order to stop panic attack symptoms, one has to understand the triggers of a panic attack. The trigger may not be obvious, however, which makes it more difficult to ascertain. You might experience an extreme fear over nothing at all or even a fear of having a panic attack itself. There really is no surefire way to understand the entire scope of what contributes to your panic attack without careful evaluation with a medical professional and possibly a psychologist.

No Reason to be Embarrassed

Many people, however, do not see their doctors or bother with a psychologist because they are embarrassed of the symptoms of a panic attack. Others do not seek professional help because it makes them feel inferior or “crazy” to see a psychiatrist. Pride is not a symptom of panic attacks, but it is a byproduct at times of a person’s desire to remain “normal” at all costs.

Some doctors prescribe medications for panic attacks such as Paxil or Zoloft. In order to stop panic attack symptoms, you may want to consider talking to your doctor about these medications or other methods. Always follow the advice of your medical professional and the regulations set forth by the drug companies as it is important to utilize any medication properly. Never stop taking a medication suddenly without the advice of your physician and never start taking medication without the advice of your doctor, either. As with anything in life and in the world of health, nothing beats the expertise and advice of a qualified medical professional.

I will always recommend you consult your doctor. Do your homework and study everything you can about panic attacks and anxiety. By doing this you have already started the process to ending your anxiety and panic attacks. I recommend a book and audio called “A Guide to Eliminate Stress and Anxiety” I have placed a link at the top of my site where you can take a look at it.

However panic attacks are something that you need to be in control of and you should not use alcohol or narcotics to control the effects of panic. Doing so can lead to different types of emotional damage and might produce physical complications, especially if you are on medication for your panic. You should think about the fact that a panic disorder needs to be addressed in the right way and you should not do anything that may cause problems for you later on down the road.

Panic attacks are very dangerous when you mix them with alcohol. You might get into more trouble when you are using it for the temporary relief of the symptoms of panic attack. If you are experiencing panic disorders you need to see your doctor and get the treatment to bring the attacks under control. You need to get help with your problems and not rely on the use of alcohol and other stimulants to get you feeling the way that you believe you need to feel.

Using alcohol and narcotics will ultimately hide your problems for a little while. However some people become alcoholics when they are using it all the time trying to hide the effects of a panic disorder. It is better to focus on taking care of your body and doing what is necessary for your mental health from the advice of your physician. You need to take the right precautions against alcohol and substance abuse when it comes to panic disorders.

If you find that you are having problems letting go of your panic and using alcohol and other drugs to relieve the stress of panic attack symptoms, it is best to speak with your health care professional about it. You need to get it all out in the open so that they know what is going on in your life. They will be able to recommend strategies to help you feel better and get you on the right track to adequately deal with your panic. Put it all behind you so that you can feel better and get on to the life that you deserve without being hooked up with alcohol.

You should make sure that you are setting up a support system of reliable and trustworthy friends to help you in your time of need. Be open to things that can help you and identify the things that are not going to be good for you, such as the overuse of alcohol and other substances. This will be crucial to help you deal with the day to day things and ultimately how you deal with your panic.

Don’t get too much anxiety though, this condition is very treatable and you can get back to normal faster than you think. The following paragraphs give a few tips on how you can identify panic attack symptoms and give tips on what you can do to diminish them or lose them altogether.

We have all heard the saying that knowledge is power, and it is no different when dealing with anxiety. Once you learn what the general symptoms of panic attacks are and how you suffer from panic attacks, you are well on your way to finding a cure. Many people share the knowledge that panic attacks are solely associated to events. An event may be a stressful exam or test in school, career choices and job interviews, and other important life events. However, this is usually not the case. Panic attacks usually occur in the most unexpected moments, even while sleeping. Knowing this however, you shouldn’t assume that any time you feel stressed, you are having a panic attack. Life is full of stresses, and we all have to deal with them. It is when we experience the more serious symptoms such as heart palpitations, insomnia, dizziness, shaking, lack of oxygen, sweating, etc, that we should wonder if we are suffering from an actual panic disorder.

One of the most powerful tools we have is documentation. Writing in a journal about your feelings and anytime you experience the previously mentioned symptoms is a gigantic help to determining if you have a real problem. By doing so, you will be able to identify any patterns associated with your panic attacks. It will also be a valuable tool for your doctor to be able to use when diagnosing you and prescribing the right treatment. Many people find it hard to keep any type of journal, but if you really want to help yourself get cured, you will have to motivate yourself to continuously document your condition.

In the journal you create, you will want to be sure to record certain specific details such as how intense the attacks are, how frequent they are occurring, and also any physical symptoms that you are experiencing. If you feel that you know what may have triggered the event, be sure to write that in as well. For example possible triggers include arguments with friends or loved ones, difficulties with money, fear of losing a best friend, physical illness, or starting a new job. All of these are worthy of documenting and will help both you and your physician cure your condition.

If you feel that you have tried everything you can do yourself to stop your panic attacks, please consult with a health care professional. One of the best things you can do for yourself is to have an open two-way dialogue between you and your doctor.

Unfortunately, due to the pressures of modern day life our children are beginning to suffer the same problems that adults do and this problem is getting worse. You would think that children wouldn’t suffer from panic attacks, but they do. They suffer just the same as adults so what can we do to stop childrens panic attacks ?

Our children should be having the most carefree, fun and enjoyable times of their lives, but instead they are under pressure from a very young age. Children are growing up far too quickly and are unable to enjoy all the normal things that a child should be doing. It’s time we got back to basics and make our children feel happy and safe again.

How Can We Prevent Panic Attacks In Children ?Children today have a lot more pressure and stress in their lives than ever before. The expectations for them to be a success are higher, whether it’s at home or at school. The children also have more bullying to cope with, especially at school, and as a result they can live in fear on a daily basis.

In todays world there is much more for a child to cope with, such as crime, sexual abuse, and more marriage breakups than ever before. Any child who has witnessed the break up of their parents will feel the pain just as their parents have done, and this will without doubt affect the childs mind in a big way.

In order to prevent panic attacks in children we first have to identify if the child is suffering from panic attacks. This is not always easy to do unless the parents are close to the child and have a good relationship with them.

First all, make an effort to share their pastimes and thoughts and watch their daily behaviour closely. Panic attacks are fairly easy to spot if you’re paying very close attention and this will always be the first step to preventing panic attacks in children.

What Are The Panic Attack Symptoms ?

The things to watch out for are changes in the childs behaviour such as loss of appetite, poor sleeping, anger, crying and sometimes aggression. Your child could even start to shake or become short of breath during a stressful period so look out for the signs.

Just saying that you love your child isn’t enough, you must spend more time with them and be a proper parent again, after all, you brought them into this world so it’s your responsibility to protect and take care of them. Don’t just buy things for them, loving your child is not about money, it’s about spending your precious time with them and showing your support as well.

In order to cure or prevent panic attacks in children, the most important thing is always the involvement and love of the parent. Remember, children require emotional support much more than physical support.

If your child does suffer anxiety and panic attacks there some successful treatments that you should look at before you turn to drugs – stop children’s panic attacks now !

You would be surprised at how many people visit the emergency room because of a heart attack when the reality is they are only experiencing a panic attack. That will give you an idea of how intense the symptoms of a panic attack can be.

First let’s look at the different physical symptoms that indicate you might be having a panic attack.

Shortness of breath

Trembling or shaking

Sweating

Tightness of the chest

Inability to focus or sit still

Chills or hot flashes

Not only do people experience physical symptoms with panic attacks, but there are psychological symptoms as well. Here is a list of the most common psychological symptoms people experience when having a panic attack or experience while expecting a panic attack to happen:

Fear of losing control

Fear of dying

Agoraphobia or fear of public places

Feelings of unreality

Depression

Potential tendency to turn to substance abuse

For people dealing with recurring panic attacks it can be difficult for family members or loved ones to fully understand what you are going through if they have never experienced a panic attack before.

Sometimes you may feel like you are forced to face the panic attacks alone because your closest friends and family may think you are simply trying to get attention or may quickly lose patience with you because they don’t see it as a big problem.

It’s important to understand that you are not alone in your dealings with panic attacks or anxiety disorder. Many people commonly experience these types of symptoms throughout their lives. Some more than others, but you are not as alone as you may think you are when dealing with these type of problems.

Rest assured panic attacks are not as life threatening as some people think them to be. The cure for panic attacks lies in how you handle the panic attack symptoms. Controlling your thoughts is the key to controlling the power the symptoms have over your mind and body.

If you are unsure whether or not the symptoms are from a panic attack it is a good idea to visit your doctor to get checked out. Even if you are absolutely sure you are experiencing a panic attack it doesn’t hurt to have a doctor investigate the symptoms you are experiencing.

Most importantly remember that panic attacks can be treated without the use of medication, and most people just need someone to help guide them in the right direction.

A panic attack symptom can often be mistaken for a number of serious problems and as such, they can be very destructive to normal functioning as they not only add to stress, but leave a lasting impact, which keeps terrifying the victim long after the episode is over. It is for this reason that treatment for panic disorders and attacks is vital for survival and mental well being. This article will provide you with key information about what a panic attack symptom may look like and how they can be treated. However, before one jumps into treatment it is important to remember that treatment is only possible if the symptoms are properly understood. Hence, allow this article to first impart on you some key information about panic attack symptoms and its resulting implications.

Since panic episodes usually last for about thirty minutes, the hindrance to normal functioning is considerable, more so because they can occur anywhere and anytime. Among the most common panic attack symptoms you need to be wary of is shortness of breath or hyperventilation. These feelings are usually coupled with heart palpitations or a racing heartbeat. People have also reported chest pains and other feelings of discomfort in the chest region such as choking. These though are not the complete list of symptoms; others include trembling or shaking, sweating, and nausea or upset stomach.

One of the first senses which tend to be hit by a panic attack is the head/mind with people experiencing an attack often complaining of feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or faint. While all of these symptoms are very serious in their own regard, the worst experience remains the feeling of complete loss of control with the victim thinking he/she is about to die.

Since panic attacks are such a grave issue and its symptoms are no laughing matter, it is imperative that professional help be looked for if one does occur. The sooner treatment is found, the better it will be; conversely the more one procrastinates, the stronger will be the severity of the attack itself.

Help will come in many forms and types. One of the common methods of treatment is behavioural therapy which aims to help alter your thinking patterns so that your behaviour can be altered as a result. Contrarily, you also have the option of medications open to you, although you should be warned that these drugs are very addictive and can cause serious withdrawal symptoms. Nonetheless, benzodiazepines are an appealing option to people suffering from panic attacks since they are very fast acting and can thus help nullify the symptoms associated with the effects of an attack by providing instant relief.

Remember though that medications on their own aren’t the best solution since they are not able to counter the root causes of anxiety. Hence, if a permanent solution to panic attacks is desired then it is highly advised that behavioural therapy – be it Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy or Exposure Therapy – accompany the medications you take.

Alternatively, you yourself can reduce the severity of a panic attack symptom by engaging in habits which do not induce stress and instead offer relaxation. Hence, you should try and avoid the intake of alcohol, nicotine and caffeine as all three products are known to heighten anxiety levels. Meanwhile, to increase relaxation of the body and mind you should rigidly follow a regular exercise plan. Alternatively, you could enroll yourself in a yoga class which would teach you how to control your breathing such that both your mind and your body’s muscles are given a breather whenever you want.

The earliest symptoms of panic disorder are fear and depression. These are commonly known as anticipatory panic attack disorders or symptoms.
There is no single cause of panic disorder, however it has been observed that different kinds of panic attacks run in the family history of most victims. Some forms of hereditary disorders such as Bi-polar disorders and genetic predisposition to alcoholism ,however some victims may not have any family related problems but will develop panic attack symptoms as a result of the kind of jobs they do, their family affairs or as a result of their believes or thinking. Stimulants such as the caffeine and nicotine can induce panic attacks in those who do not have a family history of the problem, the inhalation of toxic chemical agents through the air {especially carbon monoxide and poisonous gases} may also trigger such panic attacks.

The preliminary duty of a panic attack expert is to detect and evaluate the source of the conditions which trigger panic attacks disorder{ hereditary or non- hereditary} before ascertaining the best panic attack treatment for an individual sufferer. The lasting effect of not treating panic disorders can be life threatening and such life threatening complication may lead to heart attacks or related issues. The aggravated symptoms of panic attacks are often traced to people who often resolve to commit suicide especially when they can no longer bear the effect of such problems. An extensive medical examination which include diagnostic tests are used at the beginning of the treatment of such panic attack disorders.

The best natural way to treat panic attack is to treat the root cause of the problem as well as other associated problems such as alcohol abuse, anxiety disorders, clinical depression, agoraphobia, and several others, Meditation and relaxation techniques may not be effective enough to remove the root cause of these problems, therefore, a combination of medications and psychotherapy will ensure that the symptoms as well as cause of panic attacks are eliminated.

All sufferers always think to cure panic attack disorder with natural ways and they already tried many, May be you missed one Latest technique named panic away technique, Most of the users who used that says now they really got a exact solution to cure it permanently.
While each person suffering from panic attacks may have slightly different feelings or chain of events they go through leading up to their attacks, there are a few fairly common symptoms or combinations that most people will experience.

These symptoms include:

Hyperventilation or some difficulty with breathing

Tingling feelings in some or several parts of the body

An extremely rapid heart beat or irregularities of the heartbeat

Tightness throughout the chest area

Dizziness or feelings of losing consciousness

Feelings that are variously described as quivering, quaking or shuddering

A queasy stomach

Feeling of being disconnected from the body or mind

Sweating even though the surrounding temperature seems normal

Excessive fear of dying

Fear of losing control of the body

Panic attacks are a little strange in that they can occur at almost any time and in any situation. That’s what makes them such a challenge to beat. They usually only continue for a few minutes. Sometimes they can last up to as long as half an hour, but rarely longer.

Lots of times, for whatever reasons a person will only have one or two panic attacks and then never have another. Perhaps, the issue that was causing the extra stress in their life is settled and things become fairly normal again.

But, if the panic attacks continue they will probably come at shorter intervals and can be tied to particular events or situations. The repeated attacks will more than likely lead to constant concern about having more panic attacks which will have a major impact upon a person’s behavior and outlook on life. If the panic attacks continue to elevate then the development of panic disorder is a possibility.

The symptoms of panic disorder include:

Repetitive and unanticipated attacks not related to any one condition or location

Continual concern about having more attacks leading to increasingly higher and higher levels of fear with less time where there are feelings of normalcy

Fairly sweeping changes in behavior because of the attacks—including avoiding situations and locations where panic attacks have happened in the past because there is a feeling these situations or locations are the cause of the attacks

These are the symptoms of panic attacks and panic disorders. If you believe you, or someone you know, are suffering from any of these symptoms take the steps to more fully understand the symptoms and get some tools to help deal with them.
