Signs and Symptoms of Panic Attacks – What You Should Know About Panic Attacks

Panic attacks are scary. Not knowing the signs and symptoms can be even scarier. So, what I’m going to do is share with you the signs and symptoms of panic attacks. That way, you’ll know when you’re having an attack and how you can stop it from happening.

The signs of a panic attack are:

1. Chest pain. When our chest tightens, it could cause hyperventilation, dizziness, or heart palpitations.

2. General paralysis. You simply freeze up. You feel like you can’t move and you feel like you’re going insane.

3. Throat tightens. This is another sign of panic attacks. Your throat closes up, making it hard for you to breathe.

4. Blood rush. You have hot flashes and chills.

Now that you know the signs of panic attacks, let’s go over the symptoms. The symptoms of a panic attack can be broken down into two categories, which are perceptual and mental.

The perceptual symptoms of panic attacks involve your perception of yourself, as well as the world. Your perception becomes drastically altered when you experience a panic attack. You may experience tunnel vision, heightened senses, a feeling of dissociation, and the speeding and slowing down of time.

The mental symptoms of panic attacks occur often when you have a panic attack. You often have irrational thoughts, which could include you having the feeling that something bad is going to happen, things that are around you aren’t real, and a feeling as though you are going insane.

These are the signs and symptoms of panic attacks. If you notice that your experiencing either the signs or symptoms, you need to something about it. If you avoid it, your panic attacks will worsen. So, take action now.
