I recently found out that my brother-in-law has a type of anxiety disorder. What happens is his anxiety builds up throughout the night and then some sort event that he finds slightly irritable sets him off. He will go in a fit of rage where he yells at the person that did the annoying deed. It isn’t a simple “I’m mad at you” kind of thing, but rather, he gets extremely angry like someone tried to hit him with a baseball bat when all they did is something like accidently dropping a video game case. This happens every. single. day.

I’ve tried asking my sister (his wife) about the anxiety disorder, but the issue is extremely sensitive because she has to put up with that every day. According to her, what he has can only be handled with medication–which he refuses.
What I would like to know is, Can anyone tell me what type of anxiety disorder this is? Or is it just plain anxiety that builds up for him, and he releases it through anger?
