Jenny,I can totally understand the worring and anxiety I've been diagnosed since I was 19, I am 39 so I've been around as to the medicine's I suggest you stay away from benzodiazapams like xanax, klonopin etc these are very addictable and have very little long term therapeutic usage as your problems sound like a life-long problem and perhaps at some level will always be with you even though I fully believe that a Psychologist in behavioral modification and biofeedback experience can help you and you will live a very normal stress-free life.Take care and email me if you have any questions.

it is hell to live that way; and i am not kidding.

you really should consider going to a therapist and getting on some medication. it doesn't make you a bad person, or weak or any of that crap people say.

~if you need help, you need help. there is nothing wrong with that.

what would be wrong is knowing there's a problem and not doing anything about it.your life will be so much nicer if you get some help.

i am not a professional but it sounds like you have some issues that can be worked on in therapy.

see if they won't maybe put you on some good anti-anxiety meds like benzos. they really helped me.

just be sure to take them as they are prescribed; they are supposed to be addictive. just take them like you're supposed to and you wont have a problem.

I went through the same symptoms. I thought I could handle it on my own for years. Then I collapsed and an ambulance took me to the hospital. I learned, which I never believed, that it was stress related. I can't "turn" mine off as well. So after years of fighting it, I got some meds, which I hate taking, by the way, but I am much more in control of myself, instead of feeling hopeless. Go to the doc/pshcy, etc. It won't hurt, as I found out. It will relieve that feeling, which I hate more than taking meds. You have to look as it as a positive, I never did, but now I realize it does help. Hang in there, it gets better.

If these symptoms are getting worse, hurting you physically and you are unable to control this anxiety, you need professional help. Seeking professional help will give you the chance to find out what is really going on and you can gradually overcome your anxiety. I am sure there will be counseling, medications and exercise invovled, but it will be the best you can do for you and your family. Otherwise, this anxiety may lead to depression and affect not only you, it may also affect your husband and those you love.

There are medications to relieve tension or stress and exercises to take and people to talk to. See a mental health professional, and see about joining a support group of people with your problem.
